“my son, wants to study but has no one to support him. He moves from house to house looking for gardening work so he could raise money for school. Of late there’s no one giving him work.” – Said Joseph’s mother to Beatrice Achieng Nas founder & director of “Pearl Community Empowerment Foundation in Uganda in 2016.
Joseph’s father abandoned his family when he was a boy, consequently he bore witness to his mother’s struggles in providing even the very basic needs of him and his siblings. Despite tremendous difficulty, PCE Foundation sponsored Joseph through high school but wasn’t able to support his higher education.
That’s when ‘A More Balanced World’ stepped in by providing the means necessary for Joseph to attend Kyambogo University. As a highly disciplined, kind & humble young man, Joseph persevered and received his Bachelor’s degree in Education on Dec. 9, 2022.

We will faithfully stand by Joseph as he strides to continue his education working on his Master’s degree.
